Chris Alker is the resident spinner in The Gallery at (Le) Poisson Rouge for this night devoted to mutant disco, No Wave, electro and the like. This month's get-together, which starts at 10pm, also features New York City–based DJ and production duo (Pretty) Girls + Lasers. Listing provided courtesy of Time Out New York.

The John Bunch Trio Featuring Bucky Pizzarelli
Enjoy a jazzy evening at Midtown's Brasserie Ruhlmann, where the decor is as refined and classy as the music. On Thursday, the restaurant hosts jazz pianist John Bunch, who has arranged and played for greats like Tony Bennett, Benny Goodman and Scott Hamilton. Bunch will be sharing his musical gifts along with Bucky Pizzarelli, a well-known jazz guitarist. Both in their 80s, the men aim to show the crowd that their ability to entertain only gets better with age. The first set begins at 7pm. (Food and drink are not included.)
Friday, March 12
The World We Live In, The Worlds We Create
Williamsburg's Like the Spice Gallery will unveil works by six talented sculptors at the opening of this show, which explores themes of a new world and post-apocalyptic futures. (It sounds ominous, but the pieces are actually quite witty.) The opening reception begins at 6:30pm.
Saturday, March 13
Free Yoga at lululemon
Every Saturday morning, lululemon Union Square—a purveyor of yoga-inspired apparel—hosts its very own free yoga classes (and even provides the mats at no charge). All you need to bring is water and a towel. Instructors rotate on a weekly or monthly basis, representing a variety of studios and styles. Saturday's class features Pamela Herron of Bikram Yoga Manhattan. The 90-minute session starts at 8:30am (though you might want to get there a little early).
Sunday, March 14
Bridge and Arch Tour
Take a stroll and consider the beauty of Prospect Park on Sunday with this free tour that begins at 11am (meet at the Audubon Center at the Boathouse). The guide will point out specific structural designs that were implemented by noted 19th-century landscape architects and designers Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux to give the park a more spacious feel. Learn about the bridges and arches that give Prospect Park its character and discover what makes this Brooklyn gem unique.
Monday, March 15
Emerging Writers Group Spotlight Series: Hiding in the Garden
The Public Theater founded its Emerging Writers Group to encourage up-and-coming visionaries and give them an artistic home. These nine writers were selected from a group of 400, and, through this series, their works will be read for the public. Monday's selection, Bridget Kelso's Hiding in the Garden, is set against the backdrop of the Civil War, as a woman and her husband search for their missing son. Selected works will be featured on Mondays at 7pm throughout March and April. Tickets are given out on a first-come, first-served basis and are limited to two per person. Call 212-967-7555 to make a reservation.
Tuesday, March 16
NYC Teen Author Festival: How They Met and Other Stories
The second-annual NYC Teen Author Festival highlights young authors, their attempts to discover what sparks their creativity, their writing processes and, of course, their works. Join author David Levithan at Barnes & Noble in TriBeCa at 7pm for a discussion about teen literature, focusing on challenges that face teenage boys. Check out the festival's Facebook page for more information on its events.
Wednesday, March 17
St. Patrick's Day Parade
Join in the celebration of all things Irish at the annual New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade, the world's largest. The parade, which marches up Fifth Avenue, starting at 44th Street at 11am, draws more than 200,000 participants (and 2 million onlookers). Also be sure to check out what's going on throughout the boroughs—all five have their own celebrations.
