description/
William Blake was a Renaissance man after the Renaissance—a poet, painter, writer and engraver. In this wide-ranging exhibition at the Morgan Library & Museum, curators bring together more than 100 of the most influential pieces in Blake's oeuvre. Highlights include a brilliant series of watercolors Blake painted to illustrate the Book of Job, which showcase his interest in religion and theology; the large print Chaucer's Canterbury Pilgrims; and illuminated books.
