Between the Internet, television and video games, it's tough to capture the attention of kids with the printed word. But no amount of pixels can match the thrill of comic book collecting, which continues to thrive in New York City. And now that superhero movies are all the rage, kids will want to get their hands on the comics their favorite heroes hailed from. Let them don their capes and fly around the City's comic book circuit—Midtown megastores carry everything you could want from Marvel and other big names. Meanwhile, smaller shops in the East Village and in the other boroughs have more independent titles, if your kids would rather start a new trend with their friends.
