Eggcited for Easter? You're in luck, because New York City has all kinds of events for Easter-egg aficionados. Celebrate the symbol of new life and fresh beginnings all over the City—with traditional egg hunts, decorating and other educational activities, Easter in NYC is a basket full of fun.

April 3, noon–4pm
Barnyard Easter Egg Hunt at the Queens County Farm Museum
Start off the weekend with the Queens County Farm Museum's annual Easter egg hunt. But the fun doesn't end there: kids can dance the bunny hop, play games like egg toss, go for a hayride and smile for a photo with Whiskers the bunny (so don't forget to bring your camera).

April 3–4, 11am–4pm
Spring Eggstravaganza at the Queens Zoo
Easter fun lasts all weekend at the Queens Zoo. After you sniff around for hidden eggs, play a game of egg Jeopardy!; meet Herman, the zoo's 20-pound Flemish giant rabbit; and take a picture with the Easter Bunny.

April 3–4, 1–3pm
Unscrambling the Egg at Prospect Park
Hop down the bunny trail to the Audubon Center at the Boathouse in Prospect Park and learn everything you've ever wanted to know about eggs and the creatures that lay them. Plus, enjoy activities, games, crafts and more.

April 4, 10am–5pm
Easter events at the Children's Museum of Manhattan
There's Easter fun for kids of all ages at the Children's Museum of Manhattan. From 10 to 11:15am, kids age 4 and younger can create paper egg collages with colorful pieces of foam, tissue paper and fabric. Starting at 11am, children 5 and up can learn about the history of the Easter egg and decorate their own, of the papier-mâché variety.

April 4, 11am
Easter Scavenger Hunt at Kissena Park
Ever wondered which animal lays the biggest eggs? Find out this and other fun egg facts at Kissena Park in Queens. Afterward, scour the park for your own ovoid treasures and try to win one of the many prizes up for grabs.

April 4, noon
Easter Sunday at Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden
Head to Astoria for Easter festivities that both children and parents can get behind. Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden is offering a special Easter menu all day, plus entertainment by the Pajtashi Band and, of course, the usual exceptional beer selection. Meanwhile, the little ones will love decorating eggs—and then hunting for them at 2pm.
