Flowers are beginning to bud, ice cream trucks are again being spotted citywide and Easter Sunday is around the corner. Why not ring in spring with some goodies from the Easter Bunny? These NYC confectioners crank out delicious candies all year long, but as March 31 approaches, some really special sweets appear. La Maison du Chocolat takes holiday treats to a whole new level with its handmade gourmet chocolate "À Saute-Mouton" collection, which stars Frisoton and Frisette, daisy-loving sheep that graze on hills dotted with fences. Other noteworthy nibbles include Max Brenner's colorful Easter and spring bonbon boxes and gift sets; Jacques Torres' impressive Easter assortment features, among other items, chocolate eggs, chocolate tuxedo–wearing Peeps as well as milk, dark and white chocolate animals.
