Major League Soccer regular season runs from early March to late October. The postseason extends into December, for those who reach the MLS Cup final. A smattering of nonleague and international games fills out the local footie landscape. Circle the matches below on the 2017 schedule; we’ll hope to see you there.

March 4
SheBelieves Cup: US vs. England, France vs. Germany
Four top-10 women’s national teams, including the World Cup champion US squad, gather to compete in Harrison, New Jersey’s Red Bull Arena.

March 11
New York Red Bulls vs. Colorado Rapids
Following a strong 2016 regular season but an early exit in the playoffs, the Red Bulls look to start this year’s home campaign on their good foot against Tim Howard’s Colorado Rapids.

March 12
New York City FC vs. DC United
NYCFC’s home opener is against a side led by two exciting youngsters, Boca Juniors transfer Luciano Acosta and last year’s college player of the year, Ian Harkes.

April 1
New York Cosmos vs. Miami
MCU Park first opened as the home of the Cyclones, who brought baseball back to Brooklyn, and now it will host a pro soccer team in the borough of Kings. This game kicks off the Cosmos’ first full season at Coney Island.

April 15
New York Red Bulls vs. DC United
One of the oldest rivalries in the league is renewed.

April 23
New York City FC vs. Orlando FC
Orlando is coached by NYCFC’s first coach, Jason Kreis—and it drew the local squad in a heartbreaker last year, tying the score on the last play before the whistle. The Boys in Blue will be out for revenge.

Typically May–June
US Open Cup
It’s uncertain that any of the local teams will host in this tournament (which includes teams from all levels of American soccer), but chances are good that at least one will. For international fans: this is America’s analogue to the British FA Cup.

June 1
Mexico vs. Ireland
World Cup qualification for 2018 is in full swing, with both of these teams sitting in good shape in their respective groups. They’ll ready themselves for upcoming qualifiers by playing this friendly at MetLife Stadium. Both sides are ranked in FIFA’s top 25, so the quality should be good. Expect a staunchly pro-Mexico crowd cheering El Tri on.

June 17
New York City FC vs. Seattle Sounders FC
The Sounders, current MLS Cup holders, come to town.

June 24
New York Red Bulls vs. New York City FC
Round One in this year’s local rivalry series.

July 7
CONCACAF Gold Cup Group A: Honduras vs. Costa Rica and Canada vs. French Guiana
See top national teams aim for the coveted Gold Cup in this opening-round doubleheader. Honduras is the top seed in the group; Canada, French Guiana and a strong Costa Rica side will join them at Red Bull Arena for the day’s games, which signal the start of the tournament.

July 19
New York City FC vs Toronto FC and New York Red Bulls vs. San Jose Earthquakes
Call it a scheduling quirk, but this is the only day of the season that both local MLS teams play at home—and at the same time (7:30pm), no less. It’s another way to test your loyalties.

July 29
New York Red Bulls vs. Montreal Impact
Didier Drogba’s team knocked the Red Bulls out of the playoffs last year; this is their lone 2017 date in Jersey.

August 6
New York City FC vs. New York Red Bulls
Another installment in the New York derby.

August 25
New York Red Bulls vs. New York City FC
For the last time this regular season, city supremacy is on the line.
