  • Wave Hill
Overlooking the Hudson River, Wave Hill is an expansive garden and cultural center offering sweeping views, 28 acres of lush gardens and woodlands, and horticultural activities. This year, the garden celebrates its 50th anniversary with year-round events and exhibitions. Some highlights for this season include the bird-friendly Spring Wings Week (April 7–12), Arbor Weekend (April 24–26) and the monthlong Night Lights. From April 24–May 24, the grounds will be open for after-hours visiting (6:30–9:30pm), to allow nighttime viewing of the garden and its alluring landscape. In conjunction with Night Lights, the installation The Lightening: a Project for Wave Hill’s Aquatic Garden takes in a series of sculptures that blend animation, light and sound into a serene atmosphere around the Aquatic Garden.
