After a winter of record-breaking cold temperatures, New York City is welcoming spring with very open arms—not only for the advent of more tolerable weather, but for an exciting new roster of arts and cultural programs. This spring, Mad Men bids au revoir to television with events at Lincoln Center and the Museum of Moving Image, Björk receives a retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art and Wave Hill celebrates its golden jubilee with extended hours and a light installation by an acclaimed artist. There are also new shows at the Joyce Theater, the New York Botanical Garden's annual Orchid Show and plenty of outdoor activities at Flushing Meadows Corona Park. These are just a few of the reasons to revisit your favorite NYC cultural institutions this spring. Read on for details of those and more.
