The romantic story of a young American soldier (played by Dimitri Kleioris), a beautiful French girl (played by Leanne Cope) and an indomitable European city are at the heart of Broadway’s beautiful new production of An American in Paris. Christopher Wheeldon won a Tony award for his choreography of this remarkable company of 25 international and Broadway virtuosos, as they bring the magic and romance of Paris into perfect harmony with the timeless songs of George and Ira Gershwin—including such classics as “I’ll Build A Stairway To Paradise,” “I Got Rhythm” and, of course, “An American in Paris.” Tony Award nominee and Pulitzer Prize finalist Craig Lucas has written the book, six-time Tony winner Bob Crowley creates both sets and costumes, and four-time Tony winner Natasha Katz designs the show’s lighting.
