In honor of the 100th anniversary of the Copa America—which primarily features teams from CONMEBOL (the South American soccer federation)—the organization will bring together its usual participants with six North American teams at 10 venues throughout the United States. Among them: MetLife Stadium in the New York metropolitan area (see below for the schedule). This is a very, very big deal. Outside of the World Cup, Copa America and the European Championship are generally agreed to have the highest level of play in international soccer. This year's tournament includes such huge names as Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Clint Dempsey.

Here's the full schedule of games at MetLife Stadium:

June 12 (Group Play): Ecuador def. Haiti, 4-0
June 17 (Quarterfinal): Colombia def. Peru, 0-0 (4-2 penalty kicks)
June 26 (Final): Chile def. Argentina, 0-0 (4-2 penalty kicks)

There's also a June 25 "FanHQ" event at Terminal 5, during which attendees can eat and drink, hear live music and hang out with other soccer fans. Admission is free, but you'll need a ticket to get in. Those will become available on Monday, May 16, at 9am ET. For more info, visit ca2016.com.
