March 8 – June 8, 2014

The Museum of Modern Art - MoMA

11 W. 53rd St. (at Fifth Ave.)
Manhattan, NY 10019

description/

Paul Gauguin—pioneering modernist, peripatetic primitivist—is most famous for his paintings, but he also produced a significant body of prints and transfer drawings. MoMA presents the first major exhibition to explore these works—made between 1889 and 1903—and their relationship to the paintings and sculptures for which he’s best known. The showcase features 120 works on paper (many of which are being shown in the US for the first time) alongside 30 related paintings and sculptures. For more information, visit moma.org.
