This long-running festival of African culture returns to Commodore Barry Park in Brooklyn for four days of music, dance, spoken word and many other events. Highlights include tributes to Prince and Aretha Franklin, along with performances from Victor Daze, Forces of Nature Dance Theater Company and Tulani Kinard. In addition, there will be a chess tournament, a martial arts demonstration, plenty of food from the African diaspora, a fashion show and an African marketplace, plus a play area and an arts and crafts zone for kids.
