Starting in the fall, Jazz at Lincoln Center takes a season-long journey through the music of the stage and the silver screen with the theme "Jazz and American Song." More than 80 concerts and programs will take place featuring a diverse lineup of performances that explore music created or popularized by masters such as Irving Berlin, Benny Goodman, Frank Sinatra, Hoagy Carmichael, George Gershwin, Cole Porter and others. Artists including Bill Charlap, Steve Miller, Johnny O’Neal and Catherine Russell will appear onstage at the Rose Theater and Appel Room. And, as always, central to the season will be the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis. For more information, visit jazz.org.
