Manhattan, NY 10019
This exhibit on Magritte, the first with an exclusive focus on the artist's Surrealist years, includes paintings, collages, photographs, periodicals, and early commercial work. These works, created between 1926 and 1938, were the result of Magritte's personal challenge to “challenge the real world". When taken as a whole, these pieces comprise the artist's most inventive and experimental time within his long career. For more information, visit moma.org.
