Based on the 1992 Disney film of the same name, Newsies follows the adventures of a group of young newsboys who go on strike against their corrupt, exploitative bosses, in turn-of-the-century New York City. The musical features songs from the film, as well as new numbers written by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman.
