Having written for television shows Roseanne, Mad About You and Rugrats (for which she won an Emmy), Monica Piper knows a thing or two about how to make people laugh. And this time, she’s doing it from the heart. Not That Jewish is Piper’s 80-minute one-woman show chronicling her life growing up in a show business family from the Bronx, working the comedy club circuit and being a single mom. This funny, inspirational and intimate look into Piper’s life from adolescence to adulthood will ring true for many.

Avenue Q

Off-Broadway Avenue Q

Naughty sums up this musical comedy that turns the niceness of Sesame Street on its head. Set on a fictitious, seedy street in New York's East Village, the show co-stars puppets and humans, who share the stage to belt out saucy tunes about adult topics like Internet porn, race, drugs, therapy and ambition. A raucous alternative to more earnest Broadway offerings, this quirky satire with infectious music will have you blushing and roaring with laughter.
