Partially based on events from his life, Anton Chekov’s The Cherry Orchard is among his most recognized and lauded plays. The story of a family’s effort to save their ancestral estate from foreclosure in a moment of vast cultural and sociopolitical change is as relevant today as during its original staging. This adaptation of the original 1904 play is written by breakout playwright Stephen Karam (The Humans) and stars Academy Award nominee Diane Lane, Joel Grey and Celia Keenan-Bolger. Stephen Godwin, of London’s Royal Court Theatre, directs.
Audience: Teens and Adults
