description/

June Buckridge is rude, vicious, hardheaded and hard-drinking. She's also "Sister George," the sweet, charming town nurse on a BBC radio soap opera about rural life called Applehurst. But when executives decide to kill off Sister George in a bid for higher ratings, Buckridge's world threatens to collapse on itself.
