A mash-up of Chekhov’s greatest hits, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike finds characters like “Vanya” from Uncle Vanya and “Masha” from The Seagull living in contemporary America. Vanya and his stepsister Sonia live on their parents’ family farm in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, awaiting a visit from their actress sister, Masha. Christopher Durang reunites with Sigourney Weaver to bring the show to Broadway following a sold-out Off-Broadway engagement.
