A key part of PS1's 40th anniversary, this survey of Vito Acconci's early works celebrates the innovation of the decade prior to the musuem's founding in 1976. In the early 1960s he began writing poetry for the publication 0-9 and by 1968, he'd begun creating sound and video works as he explored the sexuality, voyeurism, and identity of the human condition. This solo show celebrates the artists's work in poetry, performance art and design, and the highlighted pieces cross all genres of his work. The exhibit culminates with the reinstallation of his iconic piece, from which the show takes its title. For more information, visit momaps1.org.
