Located on Central Park South at Fifth Avenue, this century-old hotel is the epitome of grandeur. The Beatles stayed here, as did Marilyn Monroe and Frank Sinatra, although the hotel’s most famous resident is probably Eloise, the character from the famed series of children’s books. The Plaza’s architectural highlights include the Palm Court, with its gorgeous stained-glass laylight; the Terrace Room, whose chandeliers were inspired by those at the Palace of Versailles; and the Grand Ballroom, with stunning arches, Ionic columns and bas-relief artwork on the ceiling. Visitors can also experience the hotel at The Plaza Food Hall and at The Shops at The Plaza.
