description/
This exhibition should be a major event in the lives of history buffs: a rare chance to see one of the four original copies of the Magna Carta. Written in 1215 England, the Magna Carta is considered the founding model for the United States’ democratic principles. This extremely frail document, on loan from the Lincoln Cathedral, has not been displayed in the United States since the 1980s—so see it this fall before it’s archived once again.
