Dedicated to the orchestral performance of American popular music, the New York Pops have been entertaining audiences for more than 25 years. Their concerts at Carnegie Hall often feature guest stars galore—this year’s include Wayne Brady, Paulo Szot and N’Kenge. The 2009–2010 season opens with a tribute to Sammy Davis, Jr. and Sam Cooke, and also includes a Johnny Mercer centennial show and a best-of Lerner and Loewe concert.
