description/

The versatility of paper as an artist's material is the subject of Slash: Paper Under the Knife, an intriguing new show at the Museum of Arts and Design. Slash contains work from a coterie of internationally acclaimed artists working with paper in myriad and often unusual ways. Kara Walker's cut paper silhouettes are the most familiar pieces in a show that contains many works that challenge viewers' ideas about what can be done with this seemingly flat and simple substance.
