The owners of this gourmet market know cheese, and they want you to know it, too. Roughly every month they host a course called Cheese 101, instructing students in cheese connoisseurship—with, of course, plenty of sampling. Classes, which are $25 per person, are held at The JakeWalk, a nearby bar-café opened by Stinky in collaboration with Cobble Hill/Carroll Gardens wine store Smith & Vine. The highlight of the restaurant's menu is, naturally, fondue, with some heartier plates like a venison sausage sandwich and a pulled-pork sandwich. Meanwhile, Stinky has become the area's go-to place for high-end snack foods; the shop is stocked with fancy chocolates, pickles, imported pasta and olive oils, and charcuterie.
