Women’s history comes to life at the New-York Historical Society’s Center for Women’s History, the first such initiative of its kind in the country. The center—taking over a large section of the museum’s fourth floor—offers public and scholarly programming, exhibitions, installations, talks and debates, all illustrating how women of all different races, classes and cultures have brought about change and equality for their gender. The goal of the center is to highlight women’s achievements while simultaneously offering opportunities through its educational programming and other initiatives.
