Richmond Town

Watch history come alive at Historic Richmond Town, a living history village that lets you experience colonial life firsthand. The museum complex is spread over 100 acres on four separate sites in Staten Island: Richmondtown, the museum's main site that houses more than 30 structures, hosts the majority of the events and activities, and functions as the government center of the borough; Decker Farm, a real working family-style farm that's famous for its annual pumpkin picking activities in the fall; Billiou-Stillwell-Perine House and Judge Jacob Tysen House. Walk through these real restored homes and other buildings including a general store and a courthouse. The village also includes a museum with exhibitions that portray many aspects of American life from the 1700s through today.
