Carol is Carol Frazzetta, a renowned cooking teacher who holds classes in her brick-and-plant-filled restaurant on Mondays and Tuesdays. On the other nights of the week food arrives at a leisurely pace so it's not for when you're in a rush to get home for must-see TV. Frazzetta’s eclectic tastes cause the menu to change frequently but her customers won't allow her to 86 her famous mussels in white wine sauce, grilled pork chops with caramelized onions or broccoli rabe sautéed with olive oil, garlic and lemon. There is always a good selection of pastas, seafood, meats and poultry. Carol's homemade desserts are another top draw, from seasonal pies to chocolate soufflé for two. Sundays are reserved for catering private parties of 25–50.
