In the morning and afternoon, you can step into Feast for coffee and fresh-baked pastries, but at night it's a whole different animal. Nose-to-tail dining is a specialty, with a tasting menu featuring, say, all parts of a lamb creatively crafted into lasagna or shepherd's pie. And there's a vegetarian tasting menu derived from what's in season at the farmers' market, including stuffed eggplant and roasted cauliflower with hazelnuts and grapes. For a balance between the two, there is also an à la carte menu. The bar and dining room are lit with Edison bulbs, which reflect off exposed-brick walls holding empty picture frames. Communal tables are great for groups, but if it's a cozy date you're after, sit at the bar. The chef is Christopher Meenan, formerly the chef de cuisine at the venerable Veritas, who pairs up here with Brian Ghaw of East Harlem's popular Savoy Bakery.
