The folks behind popular mixology joint Apotheke have brought traditional Mexican cuisine and, naturally, pulque to Chinatown. Don’t walk too far past the Apotheke entrance and you’ll see a set of stairs leading to an underground space. Once you’ve arrived, you’ll be drawn in by the décor that is reminiscent of Mexico City and ancient Aztec culture. Settle in at the bar or dining room and savor the many menu options, including eight different types of tacos, guacamole, empanadas, lobster mole and rice and beans. Cocktail offerings include a classic margarita, sangria and specialty pulque, mezcal and tequila drinks.
