Olive's Very Vintage
A sunny Carroll Gardens shop, Olive's Very Vintage is worth the trip to Brooklyn's quaint and energetic Court Street. Customers will encounter designer pieces at not-too-steep prices, along with over-the-top collectors' items that could break the bank. Candy-colored pumps, buckets of patterned scarves and antique jewelry like cameo brooches and earrings are welcome additions to the multi-era garments that hang in the newly renovated space.
What's in store: Strappy floral dresses, '60s jumpers, '20s silk-chiffon flapper gowns, hats straight out of the '70s, Yves Saint Laurent mules and brocade aplenty.
Price range: Scarves cost as low as $10, shoes are approximately $30 to $60, and clothing runs between $60 and $300 (fur coats, leather and gowns soar higher than that).
