New York City's holiday season swings into full gear with a number of seasonal celebrations. Highlights include Kwanzaa events at the Apollo Theater and the American Museum of Natural History; the annual lighting of the world's largest Hanukkah menorah at the southeast corner of Central Park; and the Christmas cheer offered at Rockefeller Center, in Brooklyn's Dyker Heights neighborhood and at Madison Square Garden, where families can enjoy a musical performance of Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas. That's not even to mention some of the high-profile entertainers headed to NYC—Andrea Bocelli and Leonard Cohen among them—or the events of New Year's Eve, including the world-famous Times Square Ball Drop.
