February is Black History Month, and there are celebrations going on throughout the City. Stay tuned for our full roundup of events, but in the meantime read about a screening of The Black Power Mixtape 1967–1975 at The Bronx Museum of the Arts and the Harlem Globetrotters showing off their skills at Madison Square Garden. Also in sports, the Millrose Games will be coming to the New Balance Track & Field Center at The Armory, and the Knicks and Nets meet in one of their final matchups before the Nets move to Brooklyn and the New York–New Jersey rivalry dies. February also brings the openings of a number of new art exhibitions, such as Renoir, Impressionism, and Full-Length Painting at The Frick, John Chamberlain: Choices at the Guggenheim and the not-to-be-missed Cindy Sherman show at The Museum of Modern Art. Other exciting events include the Philip Glass Tune-In Music Festival—celebrating the American composer's 75th birthday—and the always-popular and adorable Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.
