Grand Central Terminal Centennial
Originally completed in 1913, Grand Central Terminal is one of the world's great railway stations. Besides its function as a transportation hub, it's also known for its Beaux-Arts facade, Vanderbilt Hall and the Oyster Bar, among other attributes. On February 1, Grand Central celebrates its 100th anniversary with performances, celebrity appearances and the opening of the New York Transit Museum's Grand by Design show, which illustrates the history of the terminal and how it helped to shape New York City.
