Shoe Obsession

It's safe to say that shoes—whether Cinderella's little glass heels, Dorothy's ruby slippers, Alexander McQueen's 10-inch-high armadillo platforms or the red-sole subjects of the Louboutin vs. Yves Saint Laurent contretemps—are a cultural obsession. This exhibition at The Museum at FIT showcases more than 150 contemporary styles, from Azzedine Alaïa, Prada, Manolo Blahnik and Balenciaga to even more avant-garde designers like Kei Kagami and Noritaka Tatehana.
