Beat Memories: The Photographs of Allen Ginsberg
January 15–April 6
Allen Ginsberg is remembered primarily for his iconic poetry. His skills behind the camera were somewhat less well known, but the poet had a rare ability to capture beauty with his lens. This exhibition at NYU's Grey Art Gallery presents Ginsberg's photos, which include snapshots of his life and portraits of himself, his lovers and his friends, including Jack Kerouac and William S. Burroughs.
