If your spidey sense has been tingling recently, chalk it up to the looming Spiders Alive! show at the American Museum of Natural History. Yes, there will be live spiders involved—around 20 different species, including the western black widow and the goliath birdeater, which just happens to be one of the largest spiders in the world. But beyond the thrills and chills, the exhibition will serve up plenty of cold, hard facts about some of the world's most versatile and captivating creatures, exploring their anatomy, diversity, venom, silk and behavior.
