New Directors/New Films
This annual film festival, co-curated by the Film Society of Lincoln Center and The Museum of Modern Art, celebrates the most innovative voices in filmmaking. Now in its 42nd year, the festival has premiered hundreds of movies and helped ignite the careers of Pedro Almodóvar, Spike Lee, Steven Spielberg, Darren Aronofsky, Wong Kar Wai and many others. This distinguished history sets the bar high, and New Directors/New Films 2013 is no exception. Festival curators scoured the film world for the industry's greatest emerging talent, promising a groundbreaking program.
