Keith Haring: 1978–1982
March 16–July 8
Keith Haring is one of the best-known American artists of the 20th century, famous for his many pop-art murals in and around the City. The Brooklyn Museum presents the first major exhibition to explore Haring's early years, chronicling his work from the time when he arrived in New York City through when he began making art on the City's streets. Haring's significant legacy is observed through works on paper, experimental videos and archival objects like flyers, photos and sketchbooks.
