  • Veterans Day Parade
    November 11
New York City's Veterans Day Parade is the largest and oldest in America; it was first held on November 11, 1919, a year after the armistice was signed to end World War I. Hundreds of thousands of people will line Fifth Avenue on November 11, to watch the largest Veterans Day Parade in the nation, including veterans, high school band members, family members and other participants. It travels up Fifth Avenue through the heart of Midtown, drawing hundreds of thousands of locals and visitors to celebrate and honor those who have served our country. The parade—featuring floats, music, marchers and more—starts at 11am at Fifth Avenue and 26th Street.
