Though technically it's still summer for most of the month, for the majority of us, September means fall. And fall means fashion, particularly in NYC. Now in its fourth year, Fashion's Night Out returns on September 6 with a night of shopping, parties and celebrity appearances; and the haute times don't stop there—Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week extends for that entire week, showcasing spring 2013 collections from some of the hottest designers around. Sports aficionados are warming up for the return of the Jets and Giants seasons this month, while those interested in activities of the participatory variety can take part in the NYC Century Bike Tour. On the culture front, the Met honors artist Andy Warhol with an exhibition of his work alongside other contemporary artists, called Regarding Warhol: Sixty Artists, Fifty Years, and the beloved Brooklyn Book Festival and DUMBO Arts Festival are back for another round. Also returning this year are the Feast of San Gennaro, now in its 86th year, and the New York Film Festival, celebrating its 50th anniversary with special programming.
