  • Da Silvano
260 Sixth Ave., 212-982-2343, Greenwich Village, Manhattan
You might find paparazzi and idling Town Cars parked outside Da Silvano—as well as a gaggle of well-heeled customers keen for a table in the gently lit trattoria. The sidewalk patio is pretty sweet for people-watching, too. Models, designers, fashion editors and celebrities regularly beat a path to this Greenwich Village favorite, whose Tuscan menu hasn't altered much since 1975. Page Six has chronicled recent visits from Anna Wintour, Calvin Klein, Olivia Wilde and Rihanna. Why? Owner Silvano Marchetto and his charming staff know how to coddle them. Take your waiter's tips on what's best to order on any given night, but safe bets include buffalo mozzarella with prosciutto, gnocchi with lobster, peppercorn steak, and taglierini with hot and sweet sausage, cream and peas. Sarah Jessica Parker swears by the linguine with clams.
