Big Apple Greeter
Get a warm New York City welcome from Big Apple Greeter's team of volunteers (many of whom are multilingual) as they guide you through the City's diverse neighborhoods. Past outings have included tours of TriBeCa's Hudson Square, with its industrial buildings and cobblestone streets; participants on this walkabout made a pit stop at The Ear Inn, one of the City's oldest bars, and sampled sweets at Jacques Torres Chocolate. On another tour, a Transit Museum curator took a group down to the old City Hall subway station, closed since 1945, to show off its high arches and historical details. The company's 300 greeters collectively boast an endless knowledge of the City and its best spots.
