Like Fifth Avenue, which is one avenue west, Madison Avenue provides both upscale and affordable shopping choices, but in a more navigable passage. From Midtown East stretching north to the Upper East Side, there's a gamut of stores selling apparel, accessories and home furnishings. Start out at the American luxury brand Coach (at 57th Street), where you'll find an assortment of accessories, premium leather goods and exclusive handbags like the Candace Carryall, to name a few. Four blocks north at Barneys New York, shoppers can peruse exclusive products from brands like Rag & Bone, Alexander Wang and Barneys' own private label. At the Lanvin three-story flagship, indulge in the French label's elegant shoe selection, or head to Missoni, another flagship, if you're a fan of the zigzag-pattern powerhouse. The latter is stocked with colorful items—even teddy bears patterned in Missoni's trademark stripes. Spruce up your living space courtesy of Jonathan Adler with a cheeky-chic item like a Jackie O. embroidered pillow or a candle that exudes the sweet aroma of bubble gum. We told you Madison Avenue had it all.
