"Fort Greene is really on fire these days," says Celeste Wright. If that's true, then she and partner Alec Stuart are partly to thank. In the fall of 2006, the two carved their skylit shop out of an old laundry service, and it's since become a go-to destination for the neighborhood's new wave of locals. "We've definitely gotten our shoppers to move a bit more forward," adds Wright, whose selection distinctly focuses on workwear-inspired brands like Rag & Bone, Daiki Suzuki's Engineered Garments and A.P.C. The mini–Eiffel Tower atop the old French Garment Cleaners Co. sign may be a bit deceiving, but it means you've arrived.
