  • Bergdorf Goodman
Perhaps the most fashion focused of the store displays is Bergdorf’s "Holidays on Ice," which honors annual celebrations—Thanksgiving, Fourth of July, April Fools' Day—in haute couture style. Each window paints a different theme and harks back to an era when department stores regularly featured glamorous mannequins draped in designer gowns. The Valentine's Day window depicts an elaborate boudoir scene that would make Marie Antoinette envious. Decorated with frosted crystal chandeliers and splashed with pink pastel and white shades throughout, the display features hundreds of roses and a delectable assortment of cakes and petits fours. Similarly, the New Year's Eve window has a mannequin decked out in an alluring art-nouveau-style dress (designed by J. Mendel) and snow-white fur coat holding a sparkling serpent bracelet (made by Kentshire). Other designers featured include Valentino, Oscar de la Renta and Tom Ford. CP
