Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts
Home to many of the world's leading music, dance and theater organizations, Lincoln Center is jam-packed with programming this summer. Beginning on June 25, Midsummer Night Swing (now in its 25th year) brings live bands to Damrosch Park and encourages guests to show off their dance moves. Throughout July, the Lincoln Center Festival (July 6–July 28) showcases music, theater, opera and other forms of the performing arts. Other not-to-be-missed summer festivals include Lincoln Center Out of Doors (July 24–August 11), with free and funky performances and events mounted on different parts of the campus; Mostly Mozart Festival (July 27–August 24), a popular and inexpensive performance series dedicated to the composer's works; and the Summer HD Festival (August 24–September 2), where visitors are treated to a free live simulcast of opera productions.
