  • The Jewish Museum
Located on Museum Mile in the Felix M. Warburg House—a historic mansion donated by its eponymous philanthropist—the Jewish Museum is widely considered the leading institution of its kind in the country, and is populated with art, artifacts, photos, video footage and other exhibits that help tell the story of the Jewish people. Programming this winter includes Art Spiegelman's Co-Mix, a look back at the career of the prominent comic artist famous for works like Maus, which depicts life under Nazi tyranny. Also this season: threeASFOUR: MER KA BA showcases avant-garde fashion and Chagall: Love, War, and Exile includes the artist's works from the 1930s and 1940s.
