After what seemed like the longest winter in recent NYC history, spring is welcomed with open arms. This sunny season brings warmer weather, budding blossoms and a roster of must-see events. It’s an opportune time to stroll through NYC’s gardens—such as the Brooklyn Botanic Garden—or visit the newest residents of the Prospect Park Zoo, twin Geoffroy’s marmosets. Visitors can enjoy an exciting lineup of special programming, too, with events like a retrospective of Jim Jarmusch films at the Film Society of Lincoln Center, a Bill Cunningham photo-essay collection at the New-York Historical Society and an exhibition of Judy Chicago’s early work at the Brooklyn Museum. And that's only the beginning—for more ideas, read on.
