Museum of the Moving Image
For those who have found inspiration and entertainment in the multiplicity of modern media—film, television, video games, the Internet—the Museum of the Moving Image will be an illuminating journey into the world behind the screen. And on it: in addition to regular screenings of new films, foreign movies and genre classics, the museum's galleries contain artifacts relating to the technology and ephemera of modern image-making. The collection includes all kinds of items: vintage 35mm projectors, Pee-wee's Playhouse action figures and classic arcade games such as Donkey Kong and Frogger. The museum also hosts regular exhibitions: Jim Campbell: Rhythms of Perception, which runs all spring, spotlights an artist who builds dreamy installations and projections from computers and custom electronics.
